About of Symposium

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Glorious Green March, the Faculty of Sciences of Kenitra, Ibn Tofail University, in he Saharan Moroccan Association for Science and Artificial Intelligence (ASMSIA), the Higher School of Technology of Al Hoceima, the National Syndicate of the Moroccan Press, and the City of Trades and Skills – Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (CMC), will host The International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence Applications, under the slogan: "Towards Smart Development: AI in Laâyoune Region." on November 4, 2025, in Laâyoune, Morocco, at the City of Trades and SkillsCMC in Laâyoune. This event, which is part of the International Conference on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Applications (ICBDAIA), is also part of the preparatory activities for the 5th International Conference ICBDAIA’26, to be held in Valencia, Spain, on June 2–3, 2026. It is worth noting that the 3rd and 4th editions of ICBDAIA were successfully organized in Laâyoune in November 2023 and 2024, during the celebrations of the Glorious Green March The main objective of the symposium is aims to bring together researchers, experts, students, and decision-makers to showcase AI-driven innovations and explore solutions for strategic sectors including agriculture, transport, logistics, health, and cybersecurity. It also seeks to strengthen scientific research, promote sustainable development, and support smart governance for socio-economic growth in Morocco’s southern provinces.
